Still a month left for the VR Space Challenge - another low-poly competition, our partners FoxRenderfarm are giving away render fees, iCube will award their Spineland Plugins and Pixplant will also give away their Full version of PixPlant 3. VR Animals Challenge is the most recent one - 3D artist are giving away two 6-month subscriptions and will interview the winners of this challenge - our long-term friends Pixplant are giving away a license to their texturing app, and FreeflyVR will give away 5 VR mobile headsets for the winners. I haven't realy understood what is the difference in the bump and the normal map, Anyone knows? I choose them from the windows explorer instead of the artlantis one because large files takes forever to read in artlantis and then i drug n drop.with shaders it is harder to do it because for each shader u have 3 or more files.I find the trasparent map very important but with an alpha map (as i learned recently ) u r more than ok :P I believe that a good shader is superior to a simple texture.But there is not an easy way to make all of your textures to shaders without having to do it one by one.(and u r getting stucked with the replicas of the files,very frustrating) So i use textures.
